Child / Play Therapy
Play therapy is highly effective practice when working with children. It is a psychotherapeutic approach that is primarily used to work with ages 3 to 12 for issues related to stress, mental health or behavioral issues, and trauma. It can help a child to express feelings, resolve conflicts, solve problems, practice communication and develop healthy emotional responses through something every child knows how to do-- play. In an environment of play - where a child feels comfortable - it becomes easier for him or her to open up and slowly trust the therapist.
